TOKY's profile

Laumeier Sculpture Park

OVERVIEW /
Billed as a “living laboratory,” Laumeier is one of the first and largest sculpture parks in the country. The team behind this ever-changing rotation of contemporary art selected TOKY to design the new identity, website, and various exhibition materials.

PLAYING WITH PERSPECTIVE /
Laumeier’s leadership asked TOKY to create a refreshed brand identity that would mirror the conceptual, experiential nature of its existing collection and soon-to-open fine arts center. The bold new logo positions the Laumeier name as part of the conceptual art environment in which it lives.

A DYNAMIC NEW SITE /
The fully responsive site encourages visitors to explore the park and discover upcoming events. While the previous site relied on multiple payment systems for different purposes, all ecommerce is now managed through Stripe, creating a seamless, simple, and cost-effective solution for membership, merchandise, and ticket sales.

ARCHITECTURAL BINDING FOR MOUND CITY /
Laumeier’s Mound City exhibition paid tribute to the ancient Native culture that existed centuries ago in the St. Louis area. The catalog’s unique binding method is architectural in nature, creating layers that reference both the physical mounds and the complex historical, political, racial, and environmental issues that are discussed within.
